This banking company known variously as 'Chester Old Bank', 'The Old Bank' and later as the 'Bank of North Wales and Chester' in Foregate Street, Chester, was established in 1792 and by the end of the 19th century had branches in Chester, Bangor, Caernarvon, Amlwch, Wrexham and Llandudno.
